Minutes from the February 7, 2006 Board Meeting were approved as presented with a
motion from John Kraus, Jr., seconded by Carole Garczynski.
Treasurers Report: The Treasurers Report for $157,690.76 was approved as presented
with a motion from John Kraus, Jr., seconded by John Kirchberg. February Settlement
has been included in this report, a full report is on file.

Agenda:
Letter of Intent submitted by Craig Lepple to create an approximate 1 acre parcel and
an approximate 118 acre parcel from a 119 acre parcel in the SW 1/4, NE ¼ of Section
26 along Ridge Road:
Ken Schreiber reported to the board that the committee viewed this division on
Friday and found the division to be in compliance with the Town Land Use plan and they
recommend approval with a“right to farm”statement recorded on deed.
Clerk Beilke read the Dodge County Staff Report prepared by Nate Olson:“The
Town of Calamus Land Use Plan shows the proposed .9 acre parcel is within a“Farm
and Farmstead”area. According to the applicants letter of intent the proposed .9 acre
parcel will be used for a new residence for the farm operator…the request is in
conformance with the Town’s Land Use Plan…therefore, the staff recommends that the
Town approve this land division request.”
A motion was made by John Kraus, Jr., seconded by Carole Garczynski to
approve this land division request with a“right to farm”statement recorded on the
deed. Call of votes: all aye, motion carried.
Discussion/decision on Mobile Home Park Issues:
Park Owner John Wendorf apologized that they“let the park go”this past winter,
but felt that they have made improvement in a little time, and asked the board to allow
him to meet with Chairman John Kirchberg to continue on the improvements. He stated
that numerous citations were issued to tenants regarding ordinance violations, in
addition to what the town had issued. It was agreed that Chairman Kirchberg and Mr.
Wendorf meet on Tuesday at 8:00am.
Discussion on the removal of dead trees on N. Salem Road:
The board agreed that the trees need to be removed and by a professional.
Carole Garczynski will get a quote from K&B Tree & Lawn; John Kirchberg will get a
quote from Crack Filling Service, Inc.
Discussion/decision on Cemetery and Town Hall Mowing for the 2006 Season:
A motion was made by John Kraus, Jr., seconded by Carol Garczynski to hire
Randy Kurtz to mow the town hall and Calamus cemetery for $14.00 labor per hour with
equipment rental at $30.00 per hour, and to hire Ben Kmiec to mow Bethany Cemetery
and Salem Cemetery for $10.00 labor per hour with equipment rental at $25.00 per
hour. Call of voice votes: all aye, motion carried.
Discussion/decision on improvements to S. Lost Lake boat landing:
After discussion it was agreed that the landing is urgently in need of repair and a
motion was made by John Kraus, Jr., seconded by Carole Garczynski to hire Gruss to
pour a 30’x12’wide x 6”thick slab for the landing for $1820.00 and hire a back hoe to
place stone with the funds transferred from the Highway Fund. Call of voice votes: all
aye, motion carried. Chairman Kirchberg will complete the permit with the DNR
Set the Date and Agenda for Annual Meeting:
The Annual Meeting of the Electors was scheduled for Tuesday, April 11, 2005
pm at the town hall with the regular monthly meeting to follow. The board will gather
some information regarding the cost to prepare the Comprehensive plan required by the
state to have in effect by 2010.
Other Business:
Treasurer Marian Haas reported that all personal property has been collected with the
one exception of Cameron Sims for a total of $63.54
