Agenda:
Discussion on Salt/Sand Shed Issues:
Discussion continued on how best to handle sand/salt to others. John Kraus, Jr. will see
if we can scale the loads at United Cooperative. John Kirchberg will get the price from
Dodge County on what they will charge. It was thought that we would set the price
slightly above what it would cost if purchased through the county, and a special trip
charge if the trucks are not out. John Kraus, Jr. made a motion to table until the
November Meeting.
Discuss Local Road Improvement Program:
Chairman Kirchberg attended the LRIP meeting on September 20, 2005. He informed
the board that there is a biennial amount available for 2006-2007 for $143,310.00 but
that applications must be submitted to Dodge County for consideration by November 1st.
He continued that our town would stand a good chance of receiving grant money as we
have not received any in the past. To be considered the project would need to address a
safety issue on a local road and LRIP would cover 50% if approved. The board agreed
to meet at a special meeting to complete the application before deadline, after Chairman
Kirchberg meets with Dodge County Highway Commission Assistant Brian Field.
Review 2005-2006 Snowplow List:
John Kraus, Jr. will ask Barstow to add some gravel, and review the Nelson driveway for
clearance and turn around. Chairman Kirchberg will verify if Ebert, Hartt, Frey and
Schultz will want the service, as checks had not been submitted.

Report from Driveway Inspector:
A field driveway permit was approved for Fierstl on Forest Road.
The existing driveway application for Olander/Graefe for a new house to replace the
existing trailer at N7000 N. Lost Lake Road should be a new driveway permit- clerk is to
send letter.
Discuss 2006 Budget and schedule Budget Hearing:
The Board worked through the 2006 budget and submitted the proposal to pay
$13,000.00 down on debt service and increase the levy $11,000.00 to $166,000.00.
This is the 2% growth plus 7% new construction levy limit as allowed by law, the mill
rate would show a 2% increase.
The Budget Hearing was scheduled for Monday, November 14, 2005 at 7:00pm.
Other Business:
Treasurer Marian Haas stated that she received a letter from County Treasurer Patti
Hilker asking if the town would be interested in allowing the receipting of tax payment by
a bank location. The cost would be $150.00 for each location. It was thought that
because we have no central banking location within our town and everyone banks at
different places it would not be feasible for our application.
Board reviewed the list of possible lottery credit eligibility for new homes and sales for
Treasurer Haas.
