Discussion/decision on Salt Shed Bids:
Chairman Kirchberg explained that the board viewed some salt sheds constructed by both companies that
bid at the May 10, 2005 board meeting. This viewing was posted and published in the Daily Citizen on
May 20, 2005. It was posted as well that any resident could attend; John Wedel and Bob Haas came along.
Carole Garczynski stated that she felt it was a very good thing to view the buildings before coming to a
decision.
After discussion, a motion was made by John Kirchberg, seconded by John Kraus, Jr., to contract with
Engineered Building, Inc. to construct a 40’x40’ salt storage shed with 18 foot inside clearance, with (2)
14 ft wide x 16 ft high polycarb overhead doors with electric operators, and one service door. Including a
36-foot concrete divider wall, architectural shingles, 4-foot fiberglass eave light and screens on overhangs,
for a total price of $71,000.00.
Call of Votes: John Kraus, Jr. aye, Carole Garczynski aye, John Kirchberg aye, motion carried.
Being no further business, a motion to adjourn was made by John Kraus, Jr., seconded by Carole
Garczynski. Meeting adjourned at 7:36pm
