Minutes from the May 10, 2005 Board Meeting were approved as presented with a
motion from John Kraus, Jr., seconded by Carole Garczynski.
Treasurers Report: The Treasurers Report for $134,355.48 was approved as presented
with a motion from John Kraus, Jr., seconded by John Kirchberg, Jr. A full report is on
file.
Floor was opened for questions or comments:
Herb Braker questioned why he had to fill out a land division letter of intent form since
he didn’t have to when he sold the land to the township. Chairman Kirchberg explained
that last time the township was an adjoining landowner and there was no land division
made, just a change in the boundary line.

Minor Land Division Letter of Intent Submitted by Herb Braker to Create an Approximate
5 Acre Parcel and 155-Acre Parcel From an Existing 160 Acre Parcel in the NW ¼, SE
¼ of Section 5:
Planning Committee Chairman Scott Steers stated that the committee viewed this
request on June 11, 2005 and found this division to be in compliance with the Land
Division Ordinance. The 5-acre parcel is larger then the two acres, but that the five
acres is within a transition area. A motion was made by John Kraus, Jr., seconded by
Carole Garczynski to allow this minor division request based on the committees findings
with a “Right to Farm” statement and “Land Shall not be further Subdivided” deed
restrictions on the five acre parcel. Call of Votes: John Kirchberg aye, John Kraus, Jr.
aye, Carole Garczynski aye, motion carried.
Application for a Temporary “Class B” Retailers License to Sell Beer Submitted By Lost
Lake Preservation Association for September 18, 2005 at the N. Lost Lake Park:
Clerk Beilke read Section 2 (e) of the Operating and Park Use Agreement between the
Lost Lake Preservation Association and the Town of Calamus that states there will be
no alcohol sold or given away at during a Lost Lake Preservation Association sponsored
event unless Jack and Mary Braker would forego the stipulation made when the land
was sold to the town. Clerk Beilke read that original stipulation. Jack and Mary Braker
were in attendance and Chairman Kirchberg asked if they would like to remove their
original stipulation. Jack Braker replied that it would remain. A motion was made by
John Kirchberg, seconded by John Kraus, Jr. to deny this “Class B” retailers License
request made by the LLPA, call of votes: John Kirchberg aye, John Kraus, Jr. aye,
Carole Garczynski aye, motion carried.
Appoint Member to Planning Committee term effective until June 30, 2007: A motion
was made by John Kraus, Jr., seconded by Carole Garczynski to appoint Ken
Schreiber. Call of Votes: John Kirchberg abstain, John Kraus, Jr. aye, Carole
Garczynski aye. Motion Carried.
Class B Liquor License Applications for J.J.’s Place, The Bell, and Schultz’s Cheese
Haus effective July 1, 2005 to June 30, 2006:
Chairman Kirchberg opened the floor for anyone to object to the issuing of these
licenses, with no response. A motion was made by John Kraus, Jr., seconded by John
Kirchberg to approve the Class B Liquor License Applications for J.J.’s Place, The Bell
and Schultz’s Cheese Haus for the same fee of $200.00. Call of Votes: John Kirchberg
aye, John Kraus, Jr. aye, Carole Garczynski aye, motion carried.
Resolution 1-2005 To Establish Special Weight Limits: A motion was made by John
Kirchberg, seconded by John Kraus Jr. to adopt resolution 1-2005 with Special Weight
Limits for Jackson Road, Meadow Road, Moriah Road, Mt. Pleasant Road, N. Salem, E.
Salem, and S. Salem Roads, Jay Road and Forest Road at 10- ton, and S. Lost Lake,
N. Lost Lake and Schultz Drive at 9000 pounds, with the exception that any vehicles
related to production agriculture are exempt from these posted weight limits. Call of
Votes: John Kirchberg aye, John Kraus, Jr. aye, Carole Garczynski aye. Motion Carried.
Resolution 2-2005 Designating Posting Locations: A motion was made by John
Kirchberg seconded by Carole Garczynski to adopt resolution 2-2005 to designate the
town hall, The Bell and Schultz’s Cheese Haus as the official posting locations for the
Town of Calamus. Call of voice votes: all aye, motion carried.
Mobile Home Park License Renewal for Wendorf Enterprises, Inc. Effective until July 1,
2006: John Kirchberg made a motion, seconded by Carole Garczynski to enter into
closed session anticipating to come back into open session allowed by Section 19.85(1)
(f). Closed session began at 8:25 pm. A motion was made by John Kirchberg, seconded
by Carole Garczynski to come back into open session at 8:40 pm. A motion was made
by John Kirchberg, seconded by John Kraus, Jr. to approve the application for mobile
home park license for Wendorf Enterprises, Inc. to operate Maple Grove Mobile Home
Park and Lakeside Mobile Home Park. Call of Voice Votes: all aye, motion carried.
Other Business: Marian Haas mentioned that Nathan Becker had sent her a letter
stating that he was called to active duty and will not be the Scout Master for the S.
Beaver Dam school troop, but hopes to continue in the future.
John Kirchberg stated that he applied for the Dodge County Land Use Permit for the salt
storage shed.

County Land Use Code. Clerk is to respond with agreement made with Robert Haase at
the July 9, 2002 Board Meeting
Notice of Public Hearing of June 20, 2005 on the application of the Dodge County
Highway Commission for a conditional Use permit for filling and grading within a wetland
in conduction with the County S reconstruction
Public Hearing of June 6, 2005 on the petition of Dodge County Planning and
Development to amend the Floodplain Overlay District to bring the code into compliance
with the recent Administrative Code changes to NR116 WI Admin Code
Lost Lake Preservation Association Property User Agreement for the LLPA to hold their
