Monthly Board Meeting: was called to order at 7:01 pm by Chairman John Kirchberg

Minutes from the June 14, 2005 Board Meeting were corrected to read $16,291.07 total bills
and approved as corrected with a motion from John Kirchberg, seconded by Carole
Garczynski.
Treasurers Report: The Treasurers Report for $121,890.90 was approved as presented with a
motion from John Kraus, Jr., seconded by John Kirchberg, Jr. A full report is on file.
Floor was opened for questions or comments:
Harold Stelter asked if the board knew what was going on the property across the highway
from him. He continued that he was at Dodge County Planning and Development and that
they said there was no approved land use permit.
Marge Beilke stated that she has received numerous complaints on Russell Schultz’s dog
“Missy”. It continues to chase cars, bicycles, motorcycles, and has bit a person walking bytwice,
and it is not licensed. Dodge County Deputy Mike Reissmann agreed to talk with
Russell.
Agenda:
Discussion/decision on Mobile Home Park Issues: Chairman Kirchberg showed a copy of the
letter sent by John Wendorf to the tenants of his parks. It informs the tenants about the
parking stickers for their cars, states that blankets will no longer be accepted for curtains, that
litter is to be picked up and speed limits enforced with new speed bumps. The board agreed
to give Mr. Wendorf another month before a review of violations.
Discussion/decision on Repairs to Meadow Road:
Meadow Road is located within three townships: 45% in Calamus, 34% in Lowell, and 21% in
Elba. John Kraus, Jr. made a motion, seconded by Carole Garczynski to do a minimal patch
and wedge for this year, with cost to be split by the above percentages. Call of voice votes: all
aye, motion carried.
Discussion/decision on Salt Shed and Loader Issues:
Chairman Kirchberg informed the board that the Dodge County land use permit has been
approved and issued. He continued that with regards to the loader he and John Wedel have
put on over 300 miles looking at what is available through the state. Mid-State has a 1980
Dresser 510B with 3200 hours for $24,500.00 that seems to be in the best shape of all
considered. After further discussion a motion was made by John Kraus, Jr., seconded by
Carole Garczynski to purchase the Dresser from Mid-State at the price of $24,500.00. Call of
votes: all aye, motion carried.
Application and Resolution to borrow $101,000.00 from the Commissioner of Public Lands,
State of Wisconsin to purchase loader and build salt storage shed:
Clerk Beilke presented the application for State Trust Fund Loans ID # 05601928 from the
Board of Commissioners of Public Lands and read the preamble and resolution out loud.
Supervisor John Kraus, Jr. made a motion, seconded by Chairman John Kirchberg to adopt
the resolution and complete the application to borrow from the Trust Funds of the State of
Wisconsin the sum of $101,000.00 for the purpose of purchasing a loader and constructing a
salt and sand storage shed to be payable within 5 years from the 15th day of March in annual
installments with an interest rate of 3.50 percent per annum. And to raise and levyupon all
taxable property a direct annual tax for the purpose of paying interest and principal on the
loan as they become due. Call of votes: John Kraus, Jr. aye, Carole Garczynski aye, John
Kirchberg aye, motion carried.
Report From Driveway Inspector:
Carole Garczynski reported the approval of an existing driveway permit for Jim Kmiec on
Robin Road, which will require a new culvert to widen the access point.
Other Business:
Chairman Kirchberg reported that the executive committee of the Beaver Dam Fire Group
would be meeting on Thursday July 14, 2005 at 8:30am to further discuss the petition to
charge the City of Beaver Dam for usage of the tanker. The board agreed that he should
propose to the committee that there be no fee for use, only repairs if damage caused during
use.

Attorney Lan Waddell to Honorable John R. Storck regarding Town of Calamus vs. Duane
Fuller and Town of Calamus vs. Alex Zuber to dismiss because both defendants have moved
from the mobile home parks.
